Talking Dog - Amazon Music Digital Media Specialist

Talking Dog is an "ambitious student-led advertising and public relations agency that fosters growth for both clients and members through next-generation perspectives." We work hands-on with real clients are assigned specific agency roles. During the 2023-24 academic school year, I served as a Digital Media Specialist on the Amazon Music team. I worked with some of Amazon Music's marketing team to help them rebrand their music festivals and execute digital content ideas for the following year. My primary responsibilities included; researching the brand, studying their media analytics and brainstorm a digital media plan. In the spring of 2024, we designing, executed and finalized the content for Amazon Music's campaign. At the end of the year, we participated in the "Battle of the Brands," a contest featuring all agency teams, where we made it to the final round. We had the exciting opportunity to present our campaign to a panel of agencies and industry professionals, ultimately placing 3rd overall.

Strategy Pitch 

At the end of the fall semester, my team and I brainstormed a series of marketing strategies and ideas for Amazon Music to execute. We created a powerpoint deck explaining each idea and presented it via Zoom to several representatives on Amazon Music's marketing team.  

Campaign Pitch

My team and I decided we needed a notable campaign slogan and hashtag that would resonate with our strategy ideas. We created this concept based on research and insights gathered during the fall semester. Throughout the rest of the spring, we worked on integrating this approach in our planned marketing strategies.

Battle of the Brands Pitch 

The goal of our campaign; "Front Row Feeling," was designed to capture the essence of being at the heart of a live music experience. At the end of the year, we took part in the "Battle of the Brands," a competition between all agency teams. We advanced to the final round, where we presented our work to a panel of agency judges and industry experts. It was an exciting opportunity, and we were thrilled to place 3rd overall.
